This 1981 Ferrari 308 GTSi is for sale by one of the best Ferrari mechanics in the world, it is in absolutely perfect condition, and it has lineage going back to the original owner: Formula One, Champ, Cart and Indy Racing League owner Mo Nunn.

Those of you in the Ferrari Club of Las Vegas know this car and it's current owner. It is the Ferrari owned by the lead mechanic at Italy Service, the service center that has been servicing our cars for the last three decades. It is the personal Ferrari of Calvin A. Simon who we all know as "Cal", the best Ferrari mechanic in town - if not in the entire world. Cal has been servicing Ferrari sportscars and racecars for longer than many of us have been on the planet. Ever since the the early 60s up until the present day Cal has serviced and overhauled competition Ferrari GTBs and GT road cars that are mostly all in museums today. Many of these cars are currently valued in the millions.

This particular Ferrari is in a state of overall mechanical and cosmetic condition that you could only describe as perfect. The mileage is 58,000 kilometers (only 36,000 miles). Of interest is the fact that this car was originally titled to Indy Car owner Mo Nunn who also owned a successful Cart Team and extensive documentation supports that fact. Morris 'Mo' Nunn is a famous motor racing team owner and engineer from England. He ran the Ensign Formula One team in the late 1970s and early 80s, and later worked for Chip Ganassi's highly successful Champ Car team, before striking out on his own to found Mo Nunn Racing. In 2002 Mo entered cars in both Champ Car and the rival Indy Racing League championship, and he has been very active in motorsports ever since. Mo is currently a respected technical advisor to Chip Ganassi Racing.

1977 Ferrari 308 GTB coupe. S/N 21163 Gold/brown leather. Odo: 38,xxx km -- 24,xxx miles. The 308 was introduced almost 31 years ago at the Paris Salon in October 1975. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti (1939-), the man behind Pininfarina during its golden years. During his 24 years service in Pininfarina, he designed 8 Ferraris by himself, including the masterpieces like Dino, Daytona, 308GTB and BB, plus guided another 5, such as the aerodynamic layout of Testarossa. Unlike many nowadays stylists, Fioravanti is also an aerodynamic expert - he started life in Pininfarina as aerodynamist - which explained why his designs could be kept original throughout the production adaptation process. The 308 GTB was hailed by many as Pininfarina's true successor to the timeless design of the Dino after Ferrari's choice to use Bertone for the first time to pen the 308 GT4. It also marked the first production V8 to wear a Ferrari badge.
